His performance at this meet qualified him for Hungary's World Championships team, but he surprisingly withdrew due to a lack of training and motivation.
Milak's recent challenges have been well-documented. In December, he faced an ultimatum from his club team, demanding regular in-water training or withdrawal of financial support. This led to Milak confirming his commitment to the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
